The Script List
The applications main view shows the list of interactive sessions, and of the folders, scripts, executables, and modules in the current document folder. The current folder can be changed by clicking on a subfolder.

The script type is indicated by the icon on the left:
 | An interactive shell session. |
 | A subfolder. The ".." folder indicates the parent folder. |
 | A subfolder which is part of the Library Path, i.e. is searched for m modules. See also section * (Reference). |
 | A script. |
 | A compiled .mex file which can be executed directly, i.e. an "executable". See also section * (). |
 | A module for use by scripts, shells or other modules. |
 | A script which is started when the m application is launched with this current directory. |
 | An executable which is started when the m application is launched. |
For a script, executable or interactive session, the icon on the right indicates its state:
 | Inactive, without console. |
 | Stopped, but with a console. will make it inactive. |
 | Running. will stop it. |
 | Waiting for console input. |
 | Was running, but produced an error. Open it to see the error message. |
The script list offers the following menu options:
| Create a new interactive shell session. |
| Create a new m script. |
| Create a new m module. |
| Create a new subfolder in the current folder. |
| Add the selected folder to or remove it from the Library Path. Adding it will have m search the folder for modules. See also section * (Reference). |
| Send the selected script or module (e.g. via Bluetooth or as an e-mail attachment). |
| Delete the selected script, module or folder, after asking for confirmation. |
| Send the m application to the background. |
| Exit the m application. |
| Edit the application properties (see * ()). |
| Edit the supervisor properties (see * (Supervisor)). This option is only available if the m Supervisor & Viewer is installed. |
| Edit the permissions granted to m scripts (see * ()). |
| Display a message with details about the m application, including the serial number. |
| (S60 only): toggle the view size, showing or hiding the title pane. |
| Register m via SMS. |
Pressing the delete key will also delete the selected item (after asking for confirmation).
Searching Scripts
On S60 only, the script list supports searching via a popup window, very much like searching in the standard contacts application.
Typing a character opens the window and shows only the scripts and modules starting with the typed characters. Typing the clear/backspace key removes the popup window.
