Piccing Browser Integration
Piccing.com is a Palo Alto based startup with a Swiss Project lead. Its about taste and sharing new products, inspiration and ideas.
We had the opportunity to create a Firefox Add-on that helps to bring new content to piccing. The main idea was to select an image, choose some tags and upload it. We developed that in a short time.
But we didn't stop there and enhanced it with a screenshot function, so that you can also upload images from Flash-based websites. During the last few month we further enhanced it with more configuration options.
A Firefox Add-on is great, because you have more capabilities than what you ususally can do with javascript, but to enable more users to use piccing, we created a bookmarklet that runs in all major browser (although in IE it isn't as polished).
